Fast Fence has a long-standing relationship with Fortem, one of the UK’s premier property solutions providers. Fortem delivers essential maintenance and regeneration services to some of the largest social housing suppliers to ensure that those most in need have access to a suitable home.
Fast Fence and Fortem share many common goals in terms of sustainability, which is one of the fundamental reasons Fortem chose to utilise Fast Fence’s leading sustainable hoarding solution, GreenSteel™, on their Chesterfield projects.
Fortem purchased the GreenSteel™ hoarding originally for the Brocklehurst project in Chesterfield in 2017. Once the project was complete; Fortem was so impressed with how the GreenSteel™ performed, they decided to re-use the hoarding on other projects, rather than spend more money on new hoarding for each project.
The original GreenSteel™ hoarding was eventually used on 5 different projects within the Chesterfield area, providing a significant reduction in the carbon footprint of all projects and reducing the cost of hoarding overall.
It is estimated that Fortem has saved more than £10,000 by re using the hoarding over 5 projects.
Russ Gale, Site Manager at Fortem has overseen the installation and dismantling of the GreenSteel™ hoarding at the Heaton Court project. Russ scored Fast fence a 5 out of 5 for overall satisfaction and stated:
‘Nothing to improve on.’
This positive feedback was not limited to one project.
Fast Fence is proud to say that due to both our service levels and the quality of GreenSteel™, Fortem is now considering using the original hoarding on a sixth project, further reducing the carbon footprint and cost.
